Joshua has a bold vision to revolutionize the publishing industry. Born and raised in Hunstville, Alabama, he is a lifelong lover of books and stories. Joshua dropped out of college in 2016 to begin writing a novel, but he quickly discovered that the publishing industry operated with policies from the past that were unfair to authors. He felt that if he finished his book, there would be no publishing house he could trust to publish it. His interest in writing was rapidly transformed into a passion for publishing, and thus the concept for Huntsville Independent Press (HIP) was born.
Joshua studied the logistics of book publishing for four years before finally registering Huntsville Independent Press as a business in 2022. His mission is to develop HIP as a secure and ethical house where authors can bring their stories with confidence and experience a positive, rewarding publishing journey. That journey includes enthusiasm and respect for an author’s work as well as a professional approach to marketing, distribution, and fair compensation.
Joshua is a dedicated leader with an unwavering commitment to excellence. His enthusiasm and drive are evident in every project he undertakes. His hope is to make a positive difference in the lives of the authors his house represents and to bring high-quality, engaging books to readers around the world. In addition to traditional publishing contracts with select authors, his house offers paid services to writers working on unfinished or self-published projects who seek assistance with editing, proofreading, and other manuscript services.
A motivated and reliable team player, Joshua is always looking for ways to optimize his business’s performance and improve results. He focuses on communication and is honored to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. He is always up for a challenge.
Joshua lives in Huntsville, Alabama with his wife and daughter.
